JOIN OUR APRIL 5TH AND JUNE 7TH ZOOM MEETINGS FOR AN INFORMATIVE AND INTERACTIVE PEACE AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION PRESENTATION.
Today over 70 million people are displaced as a result of conflict, violence, persecution and human rights violations. Half of them are children.
Refusing to accept conflict as a way of life, Rotary projects provide training that fosters understanding and provides communities with the skills to resolve conflicts.
Rotary creates environments of peace. As a humanitarian organization, peace is a cornerstone of our mission - when people work to create peace in their communities, that change can have a global effect.
Wilshire Rotary will join host Rotary Club of Carson Gardena Dominguez for an exciting two part zoom series on the Peace and Conflict Resolution role Rotary International plays on the Global Stage. The discussion will be led by Rotary 5280 Past District Governor and Peace Ambassador, Dr. Vicki Radel.
PDG Radel has been deeply involved with Rotary International and District 5280 efforts to expand peace discussions. She has participated in numerous events and discussions both in the U.S. and internationally. The first session, April 5th, will help us look back at how Rotary has intertwined peace into the various avenues of service. The second session, June 7th, will explore ways that we can strengthen our participation in successful peace conversations through our friendships and involvement with Rotary.
