Presidents Message
Well, we did it! We're back from an exhilarating, exhausting, illuminating trip to Belize where we delivered supplies and humanitarian aid to the children of this young, developing country. Being able to meet and work with local Rotarians and residents provided an incredible opportunity to get to know and understand the history and culture of Belize in a way that is not available to you simply as a tourist. We also had so much fun traveling with and getting to know members from other clubs throughout District 5280.
It is pretty incredible that District 5280 is the ONLY Rotary district in the world that does an annual humanitarian trip like this. What a privilege it is to be part of this District and be given such an opportunity each year. Next year......Ecuador! Stay tuned for further information from District Governor for 2023-24, Makiko Nakasone.

PDG Radel has been deeply involved with Rotary International and District 5280 efforts to expand peace discussions. She has participated in numerous events and discussions both in the U.S. and internationally. The first session, April 5th, will help us look back at how Rotary has intertwined peace into the various avenues of service. The second session, June 7th, will explore ways that we can strengthen our participation in successful peace conversations through our friendships and involvement with Rotary.
