July was a whirlwind with our Jubilee, Sam Lagana aka "The Voice of the LA Rams," our 3 consecutive weeks of helping distribute fresh produce to hundreds of neighborhood families at the Anderson Munger YMCA, and finishing the month with a lovely night of fellowship and jazz music at LACMA. We lived our mission of "Do Good. Have Fun" while we "Create Hope in the World" and strive to keep this going all year with many more service opportunities, district and club events, and some really cool fellowships.
We are honored to host our District Governor Makiko Nakasone at our August 2 Ebell meeting. I need every Wilshire Rotarian and guests to attend to help showcase our club as the best in the district. Jane Gilman will be inducted as an official member of our club from honorary status. Very exciting! Wendy will also be presenting numerous Paul Harris Fellow and Rotary Foundation recognitions. There will be a group picture of all in attendance on Wednesday with Governor Makiko and another picture of all Past Presidents of Wilshire Rotary with Governor Makiko, please mark your calendars and join us at the historic Ebell for your wonderful club lunch.
