What a wonderful visit we had with District Governor Makiko this past Wednesday. She was very impressed and touched with our warm welcome and vibrant membership. Thank you for helping showcase Wilshire as the best in the district!
This Wednesday we are having our Club Assembly at the Anderson Munger YMCA at 12N. Reminder, this is members only as we are discussing club business such as the update to our Bylaws, Constitution, and the "Hello" song. You can bring your own lunch or Rae can have the Y cater sandwiches if you prefer. Please register and indicate if you would like to order or not (cost around $15) so we can plan accordingly.
We also have several service projects this week at Big Sunday Mon-Thu shifts in both morning and evening and Red Shield on Sat, 8/12 from 930AM-1PM. Please sign up to help at any/ all of these events this week.
Mark your calendars for the District Picnic on Sun, 8/27 from 4pm-8pm at the Seaside Lagoon. Wilshire Rotary has entered both the cardboard boat race and the chili cook-off. Let's be there to cheer Captain (and Past-President) Christopher Cox who is going to glide our boat to victory this year. Also, come to enjoy and vote for Past-President Ron Reyes winning chili. Go Wilshire!
Do Good. Have Fun!
Thanks,
Janice Prior
