Hello Wilshire Rotary and Friends -
The Anderson Munger YMCA Summer Soiree was simply sensational. Many Wilshire Rotarians attended to show support for our 3 fellow members being honored at the event: Chase Campen, Scot Clifford, and Jane Gilman. Our pending member, Daniel Loh, gave a wonderful speech and will be a great addition to Wilshire Rotary. We cheered and supported our own in such fashion that we even got a couple inquiries about membership and what we do...a true testament to our dynamic and engaging club.
Saturday's District Breakfast also recognized one of our members. PDG/ former DRFCC Elsa Gillham received the Avenues of Service Award from Rotary International. Under her leadership, our district landed in the top 3 in the world for contributions to the Rotary Foundation. Congratulations, PDG Elsa!
Our Ebell lunch on Wed, 8/16 Elizabeth Watts-Russell gave us an overview of how she can help find and negotiate a perfect venue/ meeting space for you. Please be sure to reach out to her or visit her site at siteselectionstrategist.com
This Sunday, please join us at the Seaside Lagoon for the annual District Picnic. PP Ron Reyes will be competing in the chili cook-off and PP Christopher Cox will captain our cardboard boat to victory in the cardboard boat race.
