Hello Wilshire Rotary and Friends -
We had a very exciting club meeting this past Wednesday with our District Governor Makiko Nakasone there to help induct our four new Wilshire Rotary members! Welcome Adeena Bleich, Anne Loveland, Jim Moss, and Patrick Fedigan into our club.
Yesterday, February 24 was the last District Breakfast of the year and was led by our youth leaders. The keynote speaker was Mauricio (Tony) Becerra from the Freedom Writers Foundation. He gave an impactful speech about simply showing up and caring for people and paying it forward. Very heartwarming!
This coming Wednesday, February 28, we will have a Happy Hour Fellowship at Madre in Hollywood. It is listed as one of the best Happy Hours in our area and runs from 3-6pm. We will be there starting at 5pm, so come out and join us for some fun and fellowship.
Please note, our March schedule will be a bit different due to events at the Ebell so here is quick recap:
- March 2: Foster the Love Service Project at DaVinci School 201 N. Douglas Street
- March 6: Club Meeting with Holistic Vet Jonathan Salkind at Hollywood YMCA 1553 Schrader Blvd.
- March 16: Sandwich & Lunch Bag Assembly Service Project at Anderson Munger YMCA 4301 W 3rd.
- March 20: Club Fellowship: Game Night. Location TBD.
- March 27: Club Meeting Pageant of the Arts: Art Competition at Ebell 743 S. Lucerne Blvd.
