Hello Wilshire Rotary and Friends -

A big thank you to Margie Christoffersen for making our first lunch meeting of 2024 at the Ebell so memorable and so special. We had a full house in attendance at our annual vocational awards for our local police and fire departments. The Greater Miracle Mile Chamber of Commerce also joined our meeting to present a Trailblazer Award to Sgt. Kirby for his service to the community. It is truly one of my favorite events we hold each year.

Reminder, our service project this month is collecting business attire for the Anderson Munger YMCA teens heading to Sacramento next month. Please bring gently used suits, ties, dresses, blazers, pants, skirts, and button-down shirts or blouses to our Ebell meetings this Wednesday. You can also drop off directly to the Anderson Munger YMCA until the end of the month.

This week our club meeting will host our club Pageant of the Arts contestants in vocal music. We do need a pianist to help on Wednesday so please let me know if you or someone you know can be there to accompany our contestants. We will score and award the contestants prizes so come and give your feedback. I am always so impressed by the talent of our local high school teens.

Adam Rubenstein is sponsoring this week's club meeting. He will talk to us about what he does and have materials to share. It's a great way for us to get to know what he does, and his sponsorship supports Wilshire Rotary Club as well.

Next week we will have our monthly fellowship mixer. Amy will announce the location and all the details at our club meeting. If you go to the check-in desk at our meeting this week and say "Speakeasy?" You can get a raffle ticket for an extra chance to win the 50/ 50 raffle.

See you at the Ebell on Wednesday.

Plenty of opportunities for you to "Do Good. Have Fun" and get involved. For more upcoming events and to check out our pictures go to www.wilshirerotary.org
