Hello Wilshire Rotary and Friends -
Our club has been very busy these past two weekends "Doing Good. Having Fun!"
Yesterday, Wilshire Rotary, Larchmont Charter Interact, and Hollywood Rotary got together to cook, serve, and clean-up brunch for 125 people at Ronald McDonald House. We made 150 eggs, stacks and stacks of pancakes, bacon, and hash browns served with cuties, orange juice, syrup, and a range of salsas. It was a rewarding and touching morning as several families expressed their gratitude with one overcome in tears thanking us.
The Sunday before, several Wilshire members got together at Kyle & Delroy's home to watch the Superbowl together. A fun day with a great spread of food and munchies with great company. A few members won some cash from our Superbowl squares fundraiser. Congratulations to Adam, Dan, and Joyce on your winnings! Thank you to members Kyle and Delroy for hosting.
Governor Makiko will be in attendance at our Wednesday Ebell meeting this week. She will be there to induct our new members: Adeena Bleich, Anne Loveland, Jim Moss, and Patrick Fedigan along with Damon Fortier as an honorary club member. Our program will be our Pageant of the Arts: Music Instrumental competition. Very exciting to see our talented candidates from our local high schools perform for us. Voting and winners will be announced, so please join us this Wednesday from 12N-130PM at the Ebell.
