Hello Wilshire Rotary and Friends -
This past Wednesday, February 28, we had our club fellowship at Madre in Hollywood. It is listed as one of the best Happy Hours in our area and it did not disappoint. Great to spend time with our fellow members and get to know each other better.
Yesterday, our club supported the Foster the Love event with our district. The event was well attended with over 80 duffle bags decorated and numerous bikes assembled to distribute to the foster youth in our area. This means a child is given a duffle bag instead of a trash bag to keep their stuff. Getting a bike is often a core childhood memory as most people remember getting their first bike, and this project also provided the opportunity to give many kids this positive experience.
This Wednesday, our club meeting will be held at the Hollywood YMCA at 1553 Schrader Blvd. Our speaker is Jonathan Salkind, a holistic vet. Lunch will be $20 per person. Please register Holistic Vet | Wilshire Rotary Club of Los Angeles so we can get an accurate head count.
Reminder, our March schedule will be a bit different due to events at the Ebell so here is quick recap:
