Service project this past week with Elsa Gillham, Jane Gilman, Carolyn Layport, Bruce Striegel, and Mercedes Wilson helping distribute fresh produce at the Anderson Munger YMCA. This helps provide produce and nutritious food to 200-300 neighborhood families. If you are interested in helping, let Rae, Rob, or Angel know you'd like to help on Tue, 7/25 from 10:30am-1:30pm.
Next up we have jazz night at LACMA on Friday, July 28 at 6pm. Bring your blanket, picnic basket or chair for a beautiful summer night in LA. Get there a little early to get a spot and let Amy know as she will help save space.
Lastly, be sure to mark your calendars for our Aug 2 Ebell meeting. Governor Makiko will have her official visit to our club and we want to show her Wilshire Rotary is the best in the district so we need everyone to attend. We will be inducting Jane Gilman as official member of our club from honorary status. How wonderful for all of us! Wendy will also be presenting numerous Paul Harris Fellow and Rotary Foundation recognitions. There will also be a group picture of all in attendance with Governor Makiko and one picture of all Past Presidents of Wilshire Rotary with Governor Makiko, so again, please mark your calendars and join us at the historic Ebell for your lovely lunch.
