Presidents Message
October is one of my favorite months and Halloween one of my favorite holidays! I love dressing up, trick or treaters, scary movies and everything spooky. What better way to celebrate as Rotarians than to join in Halloween fun and fellowship together this week while we also volunteer our time to support our very popular and important fundraiser, the Wilshire Rotary Pumpkin Patch on Larchmont Blvd.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT LAST WEEK!
We had two fascinating guests presenting at our breakfast meeting:
Kayoko Mitsumatsu, Founder/President and Executive Director of "Yoga Gives Back" shared her story of why and how she created her non-profit that helps empower women and children in India to lead sustainable lives. A mission very aligned with Rotary's!
Gregory Leeson, "The Life Chronicler" shared his mission to travel the continent for 14 months interviewing ordinary people and seeking an answer to the question, "Where is our divisive society headed?" With his findings, he plans to author a book entitled "Ordinary People, Extraordinary Lives: Stories from The Life Chronicler". Already he has seen we share so many more similarities than differences and hopes his book will inspire peace and understanding. If you are interested in being interviewed let me know!
Wilshire Rotary will have a booth at Larchmont Family Fair on Sunday, October 30th, 2:00 - 6:30 pm.
Contact Caroline Stalley (2411cs@gmail.com) or Joyce Kleifield (joyce@kleifield.com) for info and to volunteer for a one or two hour shift!
Vision impaired students from Van Ness Elementary School visited Wilshire Rotary Club Pumpkin Patch last Friday. Our lot serves so many different members of our community bringing joy and fellowship!
VOLUNTEER IN ONE OR MORE OF THE TIME SLOTS THROUGH THE END OF THE MONTH.
Wilshire Rotary has really stepped up to support the District Concert. Numerous general admission tickets have been purchased by Wilshire Rotarians and we have filled six VIP tables so far!
