‘The Ambassador’ is Back

We are thrilled to welcome back Wilshire Rotary Club's recurring newsletter, The Ambassador!

Please consider this newsletter as a living breathing document - meaning we are always open to hearing from our members!

What would you like to see featured in The Ambassador, and what can improve? Your Club Board is all ears! (Especially if you are interested in being featured on our Member Spotlight!)

Member Spotlight

We look forward to regularly spotlighting our Wilshire Rotary Members here - on a rotating basis!

Tell us a bit more about yourself along with any exciting updates you may have in your life. It's perfectly optional, of course, and we hope you enjoy this new avenue in getting to know your fellow members better!

To be featured on future Member Spotlights - contact Board Secretary.

Giving Peace MORE Than Just a Chance

Wilshire Rotary is thrilled to have Lauren Schlau step into the role as Peace Chair for the 2026-2027 year. Lauren has been leading a brand new Peace Committee with members Lyndsie Zacheis, Angelica Tolentino, Rae Jin, and Joyce Kleifield. Thanks to Lauren and the Committee's efforts, we are proud to share how Wilshire Rotary is now recognized as a “Peace Builder Club” through Rotary International.

The goals of the Peace Committee are to help club members understand what peace-building does and can look like via education and information, organize activities for members to engage in actual peace building, and the celebrate accomplishments while assessing how peace building has impacted our club and members.

More to come from Lauren and from all our committees!

Did Someone Say Picnic?

Everyone's favorite summer event is back! The District Picnic, "Make Waves: Cardboard Boat Regatta" is happening Sunday, August 29 from 5-9pm at Seaside Lagoon in Redondo Beach. Dress in your regatta best- captain's hats, stripes and yacht club chic encouraged!
