Hello Wilshire Rotary and Friends -
This club never ceases to amaze me. Not only did we win the Triple Crown at the District Conference very recently: 1st Place in Cardboard Boat race, Best Boat Design, and Best Chili in the Chili Cookoff, but we show up and make 210 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches along with 80 complete lunch bags in just over an hour yesterday. The Hollywood Food Coalition was able to distribute our bags this morning and was so thankful as we more than doubled our 100 sandwich commitment, gave them 80 complete bags ready to go, and added in the left over jars of peanut butter and jelly (everything gets used).
Thanks to all the Wilshire Rotarians and friends who participated including our 2 Larchmont Charter Interactors, Anne Loveland, Adam Rubenstein, Reid Rudoy, and Kelsey Prior. Wonderful service project and living our motto "Do Good. Have Fun."
Our next meeting will be at the Ebell on September 20 at 12N. Andrea Hutchman will be our speaker on "How to Create an Outdoor (or Indoor) Oasis." She will give us tips and tricks you can apply to your space.
Next fellowship will be Bingo Night at El Coyote on Wed, September 27 starting 530pm.
We also have a couple spots open for our Wilshire Rotary Wine Trip to Pismo on September 29-October 1. Bus transportation, hotel, and visits to 3 wineries planned with a special Tiki surprise to boot. Please let Amy or me know if you are interested in joining us for a fun filled weekend.
Reminder to please vote AYE or NAY on the updated Club Bylaws and Constitution sent to all members via email.
