Last Wednesday, our club meeting was held at the Hollywood YMCA. Our speaker was Jonathan Salkind, a holistic vet and he gave a very interesting talk about how he got into making house calls and treating animal health in a complete and less stressful environment.
We also inducted Scott Gizicki into Wilshire Rotary at the meeting. He had just chopped his hair and donated it to Locks of Love, so sharing his induction pic above so you can say hello the next time you see him.
This coming Saturday, March 16, we will have our monthly service project. This month we will provide lunch bags for the Hollywood Food Coalition. We will assemble 200 lunch bags consisting of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, granola bars, a drink, fruit snacks, and cookies. Adam Rubenstein has graciously offered to host at his loft at 710 N El Centro #305. We will assemble from 11am - 1pm. On March 27 we will have our club lunch meeting at the Ebell. Our program will be the Pageant of the Arts: Art Competition with students from local high schools showing off their art.
