Rotarians and friends, happy valentines day to you all! Let us celebrate the love and friendships in our lives with joy and gratitude.
I want to thank Amy Cuomo for running our Super Bowl Squares fundraiser and thank all of you who bought squares! Know that you're helping our club stay strong to continue to do the many service projects we undertake throughout the year. And Congratulations to the winner!
I hope you'll all be able to join us for our upcoming meetings. At this coming Wednesday's Canters breakfast meeting we will be welcoming a legend and I, for one, can't wait to meet her! The following week, another adventure I'm very excited about - happy hour at the incredible Wellesbourne in Century City and DON'T FORGET TO REGISTER for our Saturday, Feb. 25th "Difficult Conversations" workshop!
COMING UP
WEDNESDAY BREAKFAST AT CANTERS
INA PINKNEY
The "Breakfast Queen"
Polio Survivor and Polio+ Spokesperson
Ina Pinkney is an activist, entrepreneur, legendary chef, guest lecturer, recipient of countless awards and has been recognized for her many contributions to the culinary world.
Despite the awards and acclaim she has garnered in her career, the most significant title she holds is Polio Survivor. Ina now speaks to Rotary groups about the late effects of polio in her effort to help Rotary and the Gates Foundation achieve their goal of the global eradication of polio.
Join us on Wednesday at Canters to meet Ina and hear her inspiring story.
Last Wednesday we inducted our newest member into our club. Ian Brooks, a Berkshire Hathaway Estates and Probate Director, says he is especially excited about helping with our service efforts. A warm Rotarian welcome to Ian, we look forward to getting to know you better!
We were so intrigued with the information presented by our guest speaker, Adam Heller. His book "Zero Pain Now" and pain management method have provided relief to thousands without the use of medication.
Our Valentines Day Service project was a hit with members and Larchmont Charter Interactors who joined us for our luncheon. A big thank you to Angel and Cassandra Amezquita for doing such a great job organizing everything so we could put together heart-warming Valentine bags to be delivered to Seniors on Valentines Day.
