November breakfast meeting with speaker and Heroes Linked founder, David Tenenbaum (in gray jacket)
This Week At Wilshire Rotary
November 27, 2022
Presidents Message
Well, it's been two weeks since I sent my bulletin as Steve and I were in Chicago celebrating Thanksgiving with our daughter. We missed some of our great Rotary activities, but so happy for those who did attend. It's holiday season meaning lots of things going on so be sure to get meetings and events on your calendar.
AS THIS WEDNESDAY IS THE FIFTH WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH THERE IS NO MEETING THIS WEEK!
Next Meeting is Wednesday, December 7th. A lunch meeting, but NOT at the Ebell. It will be at Marmalade Cafe located between the Grove and Farmer's Market
Capri Maddox joins us at Marmalade Cafe on Wednesday, December 7th.
Capri Maddox is the Executive Director of the Los Angeles Civil + Human Rights and Equity Department (LA Civil Rights)
Mayor Garcetti appointed Ms. Maddox to be the Department's first Executive Director in February 2020 to address systemic racism and bias in the areas of commerce, education, employment, and housing.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
At our November breakfast meeting, David Tenenbaum shared his passion and support for our veteran community as the Director of Heroes Linked, a nonprofit platform that connects those serving, veterans, their spouses and Gold Star families with a national network of volunteer Advisors for professional and career development, as well as educational, employment and VSO resources.
