President Rae Says, ‘Register for Lunches, Please!’

We love seeing our Members at our lunches! In a newer development, we kindly now request you register ahead of time.

Due to a new reporting system with the Wilshire Ebell, they are only preparing enough meals for the number we provide them - about a week or so in advance. 

You will not be required to pay for any lunches at the time of registering, but this will greatly aid in our ability to both maintain a great relationship with the Ebell and to ensure each of our Members, Guests, and Speakers receive a lunch.

We understand life happens and you may not know until the day of if you can attend - please still join us, but just know that we can no longer guarantee meals to non-registered attendees. If there's a slim chance you cannot make it, we encourage to register anyhow to err on the side of caution.

WRC Member, Lyndsie Zacheis, Embodies ‘Do Good, Have Fun’ with The Play Way

As the founder of The Play Way, a global movement rooted in the transformative power of play, Lyndsie empowers adults, teens, and tweens to reconnect with their inner child—unlocking resilience, emotional intelligence, and creativity to thrive in a disconnected world.

Her grassroots work began in 2014 after witnessing acts of violence in Los Angeles. The Play Way officially launched on April 11, 2020. Lyndsie recognized that play wasn’t just for children—it was a universal tool to break barriers, foster mental health, and cultivate connection. She dedicated her life to turning play into a resource for addressing real-world challenges like isolation, burnout, and cultural division, reshaping how individuals and communities engage with one another.

Her initiative, Help the 11th, expands this mission by creating a ripple effect of kindness and connection. Each Play Ninja is trained to inspire 11 others, turning small, playful acts into exponential waves of change. With a goal to train 111,000 Play Ninjas by November 11, 2027, and inspire 1.1 million Play Prints by the LA28 Olympics, Lyndsie is spearheading a movement that redefines how we approach mental health, emotional growth, and collaboration on a global scale.

Lyndsie is calling on all Rotarians to help with this incredible effort! Join Lyndsie on Wednesday, November 11th at the new D Line stops of Wilshire/Fairfax and Wilshire/La Brea from 11a-1p.
