This Week At Wilshire Rotary

Presidents Message
Joyce Kleifield
It is with much sadness that I report the loss of long time Rotarian, Fluff McClean. I did not know her well, but I do know Fluff was a regular, active presence at Rotary meetings and a devoted wife to her husband, Sandy. She was also a past president of our adopted home, The Ebell Club, and a beloved member of the Windsor Square and Hancock Park communities. My experience of her was of a lovely woman, filled with grace and a slightly wry sense of humor. She will certainly be missed. May she Rest In Peace reunited with her husband.
COMING UP THIS WEEK:
Wednesday, 10/5, 12:00 pm, lunch meeting at the Ebell
IF YOU ARE REGISTERED,

Over the past 50 years, Rich has amassed the world’s most extensive, privately-owned collection of authentic sci-fi, fantasy, and horror movie memorabilia which is on exhibit in his museum Icons of Darkness at Hollywood & Highland.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT LAST WEEK!
Over 20 Rotarians and guests gathered at Market Tavern in the Farmers Market for fellowship, great pub food and a presentation by the Beverly Wilshire Community Alliance. Here, Peter Hayden, Development Director for the Farmers Market presents their concerns about the proposed Television City development. Wilshire Rotary thanks the Farmers Market for generously hosting this event!

Pumpkins will be arriving on Thursday, October 6th. We have about 20 Larchmont Charter Interactors lined up to help with the arduous task of unloading but we STILL NEED YOU TO VOLUNTEER IN ONE OR MORE OF THE TIME SLOTS THROUGH THE END OF THE MONTH.
An incredible, innovative Rotary Foundation fundraiser co-chaired by our very own Amy Cuomo and Leon Nixon. Wilshire Rotary has FOUR VIP tables so far! A few seats are still available, let Joyce, Elsa or Amy know if you are interested in purchasing a $250 ticket to be seated at one of the tables.
If that is not in your budget and you wish to attend, individual seats are now on sale. Please do attend! Let's not only support the incredible Rotary Foundation, let's show Amy and Leon how much we appreciate their extraordinary efforts and dedication in making this concert a reality!
