Service Project: Operation School Bell – Volunteer
Apr. 23, 2026 7:15 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Join fellow Wilshire Rotarians in supporting Operation School Bell, a program of the Assistance League of Los Angeles that provides new clothing to students in need so they can attend school with confidence and dignity.

Volunteers will assist with distributing clothing and helping students select essential items during this special on-site event at Leo Politi Elementary School. This hands-on service opportunity directly supports local children and families while promoting confidence, school attendance, and academic success.

Many who have volunteered with Operation School Bell describe it as an incredibly rewarding experience, seeing firsthand the joy and gratitude of students receiving new clothing.

Set up begins at 7:15 a.m. and event wraps up by 1:00 p.m.

If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up through the club so we can coordinate our group participation. In order to park on the school campus (the playground) at Leo Politi School, volunteers need to be there before 7:45. When they lock the gates to the playground, the cars cannot exit again until the event ends at 1:00. So latecomers will need to park on neighboring streets.

Meet your fellow Rotarians, friends and guests for a casual brunch on Sunday, April 26th at the world famous Farmers Market (at 11AM).  Keeping it casual, and to the budget of your liking, grab whatever food and beverage you choose and meet the gang for some lively conversation and fellowship.  President Leon also commented that we will also be supporting a host of local business which is always a plus!  Please register here so that I know how much space to save.

Whether you crave American, Asian/Pacific, Brazilian, Cajun, French, Greek/Middle Eastern, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mexican, Polish and/or Seafood, the Market has you covered! (I took this list from their website).

Yours in Fellowship!
