DESCRIPTION:JOIN OUR APRIL 5TH AND JUNE 7TH ZOOM MEETINGS FOR AN INFORMATIV
E AND INTERACTIVE PEACE AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION PRESENTATION. Today over 7
0 million people are displaced as a result of conflict\, violence\, persec
ution and human rights violations. Half of them are children. Refusing to
accept conflict as a way of life\, Rotary projects provide training that f
osters understanding and provides communities with the skills to resolve c
onflicts. Rotary creates environments of peace. As a humanitarian organiz
ation\, peace is a cornerstone of our mission - when people work to create
peace in their communities\, that change can have a global effect. Wilshi
re Rotary will join host Rotary Club of Carson Gardena Dominguez for an ex
citing two part zoom series on the Peace and Conflict Resolution role Rota
ry International plays on the Global Stage. The discussion will be led by
Rotary 5280 Past District Governor and Peace Ambassador\, Dr. Vicki Radel.
PDG Radel has been deeply involved with Rotary International and District
5280 efforts to expand peace discussions.  She has participated in numer
ous events and discussions both in the U.S. and internationally.   The fi
rst session\, April 5th\, will help us look back at how Rotary has intertw
ined peace into the various avenues of service.  The second session\, Jun
